Tribune Cottage, originally the Moses Wanzer Farm, has been an integral part of Chappaqua's history for over 150 yrs. This wonderful home has played host to prominent Chappaqua families such as Washburn, Sutton and Haights as well as former Presidential candidate, Horace Greeley and bears the name Tribune Cottage based on a rumor that Greeley's mistress resided at the estate. Sitting elevated on a private, park-like 3.6 acres featuring fruit trees, established perennial gardens, a heated in-ground-pool and pool house studio/kitchen/full bath/laundry, and three outbuildings including the original barn which is now the garage, an air conditioned gym and a storage shed, this beautiful house retains much of its original hardware, wood floors and carved woodwork. The easy walk to shops, town and train, the magnificent land and the quality and design of the home are all testament to the part it has played in our village's history. It is a home to be cherished for generations to come.
